Play the new version of the game here. There are now more levels, enemies and bosses alongside revamped artwork and remixed versions of the original levels.
Take control of Leuk the Leukocyte and get ready for a Gastric Voyage! Battle food borne illnesses like Listeria and Salmonella as you fight to take back control of your body.
Gastric Voyage is a small top-down shooter game where you collect powerups and fight enemies. There are two levels with the second level culminating in a boss fight.
THE WINDOWS DOWNLOAD HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY DISABLED. THERE IS A BUG THAT SOMETIMES PREVENTS THE GAME FROM RESTARTING AFTER DEATH. WINDOWS BUILD WILL BE REUPLOADED WHEN THIS BUG IS FIXED.

Enjoyed the game, did not expect 2 levels in the game and a boss, was a lot of fun even if I did end up dying haha Left a follow and keep up the work! Your games starts at 10:08 about!
Thanks for playing. I'm not gonna lie, the bug where it didn't reset when you died was a little embarrassing. lol
And yeah there's nothing beyond the boss except for the ending cutscene.

Overall this is a pretty fun game. The art could really do with some improvement, and the story needs some fleshing out, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good experience. I had a lot of fun and nearly didn't see the two rooms in the beginning. Just a little more polishing and this game will be a great experience! Good luck!
Thank you for the feedback! What in your opinion would improve the art? Our artist is brand new to digital/game art so any suggestions to improve in that area would be very welcome.
The art style seems to be pixelart in the intro cut-scene, but changes to digital art and that looks kinda weird. Also, with the color choices, it's hard to distinguish interactable objects from un-interactable ones. This might be my personal opinion but the player doesn't look like a hero, but its attack projectile definitely need to look more visible. Same goes for the enemy projectiles. The enemy designs are perfect, no complains. Just the level's artwork needs some improvement.

Yes! Anthony was telling me about the color choices I was going for and reminded me about which items are interactable and I spaced it. So thank you so much for pointing that out.
Haha, yes, the main character not looking like a hero was a personal choice. They are a vicious little summabitch. Something like a Kirby/Langolier cross.
I'm hoping if this gets enough eyes on it that I can go through and do an overhaul on it. I'm going in currently and fixing the projectiles to improve visibility and interactable objects to help progress through the game.
